Mole Valley SMEs Can Now Double Their Community Impact Through New Match‑Funding Scheme
Local businesses in Mole Valley have a powerful new way to support their community: a match‑funding scheme that doubles every eligible donation made to the Mole Valley Community Fund (MVCF).
Launched by Mole Valley District Council (MVDC), the initiative is designed to boost charitable giving among small and medium‑sized enterprises (SMEs) and strengthen projects tackling need and disadvantage across the district. For every £1 donated by a local SME, MVDC will contribute an additional £1 — instantly doubling the value of the support reaching community groups.
MVDC says the scheme not only helps residents but also enables businesses to enhance their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) credentials by investing directly in local wellbeing.
How the Match‑Funding Works
MVDC has allocated £8,000 for the 2026/27 financial year to support the programme. Key details include:
50:50 match funding on eligible donations
Up to £2,500 match per business
Only the first donation made by an SME during the funding period qualifies
Funding runs from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, or until the allocation is fully used
Grants are administered by the Community Foundation for Surrey
The scheme is open to SMEs based in Mole Valley with fewer than 250 employees.
A Boost for Local Projects — and Local Businesses
From community hubs to youth programmes, mental health support to local community projects and smaller charities, MVCF funds projects that make a tangible difference to people across Mole Valley. With match funding now in place, businesses can amplify that impact — turning every £1 into £2 for the causes they care about.
